Lake Retba in Senegal

Now here is a sight to see!  This is Lake Retba in Senegal, located in northwest Africa.  I would have a blast visiting this lake, mostly because my favorite color is pink just like the color of this lake.  The lake is pink because of an algae in the water that gives off a red pigment, but when absorbing the sun it creates energy and turns it to a pink color.  There is also a very high salt content which makes it easy for people to float in the water.  Which is good for me because I am an absolute terrible swimmer.  The areas near the lake have created a small salt collecting industry, where salt collectors work 6-7 hours a day collecting salt.  I can imagine that being in this water all the time is not very good for your skin because the salt probably dries it out quite a bit.  I guess that is what lotion is for though.  But to jump in it one time, float around for a few minutes, and take some memorable photos in it would be all I want.  So here it is!  My first post about where I would love to visit someday if I had the chance.
